Narrative focus: a portrait beyond the myth
The project explores a previously unseen side of Erri De Luca, going beyond his public image to create an intimate and personal portrait.
Two dimensions intertwine: on the one hand, the epic challenge of his own limits, embodied by his 350-meter free solo climb, a powerful metaphor for his confrontation with death; on the other, the poetry of everyday life, made up of memories, habits, and a deep connection to the land.
This visual narrative offers a reflection on a new idea of old age, lived with courage, dignity, and a surprisingly sensitive perspective. It is probably one of the most successful projects in terms of its emotional impact and ability to generate resonance.
Awards and recognitions
"L'Età Sperimentale" premiered at the prestigious Trento Film Festival, recording two sold-out screenings that immediately marked its success with audiences.
The film then strengthened its presence on the festival circuit, winning the Best Film award at the Cervino Film Festival and the Goleta Film Festival in California, as well as the Best Screenplay award at the BWest Script Festival in Bilbao.
These results generated significant media coverage and encouraged its distribution on RaiPlay, increasing its visibility, authority, and interest among partners and audiences.
